Crews for sports clubs & leagues
Know who’s playing, and keep the club together
Five-a-side clubs, rec leagues, volleyball clubs and amateur teams that collect membership all have the same weekly problem: is there a full squad on Sunday? Crews gives your club a calendar of games and training with RSVPs, instant updates and chat that doesn’t bury the important messages.
The problem
The club organizer’s weekly headache
- 01
Chasing availability
Every week someone messages players one by one to find out who can play, then does it again when someone drops out.
- 02
Short-handed on the day
You think you have seven. On the day you have five, and there wasn’t enough warning to find subs.
- 03
Fixture changes go unseen
The league moves the game to a later slot, and the message is lost under match banter in a busy chat.
- 04
The club is more than fixtures
Training, socials, end-of-season awards and the tournament weekend end up scattered across chats and spreadsheets.
How it works
Match week with Crews
How a club with a couple of teams and a weekly training session might handle a game week.
- 1Start of the week
Post the game and training
The captain adds Sunday’s game and Wednesday training to the crew calendar. Players tap going, maybe or not going, and the list shows at a glance if you have enough.
- 2Midweek
Spot the gap early
With only five confirmed, the captain @mentions the maybes in the event chat and asks the wider club for a sub.
- 3Friday
Push the change
The league moves kick-off. Updating the event notifies everyone who RSVPed, so nobody turns up an hour early.
- 4After the final whistle
Keep the season
The team photo goes on the memory wall, and the club secretary exports a CSV of who played for their records.

Is Crews right for your club?
Crews suits amateur sports clubs, social leagues and teams that collect membership or subs and have someone organizing the week-to-week: availability, fixture changes, training and socials. Club roles let a chair, secretary and captains share the admin.
Dedicated team apps like Spond and TeamSnap go further on sports-specific admin such as collecting match fees, and some can be used for free. If money collection or a free tool is the priority, they may be a better fit. Crews is for clubs that want availability, updates, chat and a club identity in one place, and are happy to pay $59 a month for it.
Get started
set it up in 5 minutes.
Start with a 14-day free trial, no card needed. All of this works from your phone or your laptop.
- Step 1Start your 14-day trial and create a crew for your club.
- Step 2Make captains and the secretary moderators or admins.
- Step 3Add the next few fixtures and training sessions to the calendar.
- Step 4Send personal invite links to players, or make the crew public and let them join.
- Step 5Ask players to install Crews and turn on push notifications for fixture changes.
How much does Crews cost for a sports club?
$59 a month per crew, paid by the club. Players join free. Up to 100 members are included, and extra members come in packs of 100 for $18 a month. 14-day free trial, no card needed.
Can we collect match fees or subs through Crews?
No. Payments and membership dues are on the roadmap, not available yet. If collecting money is a must today, a dedicated team app like Spond or TeamSnap may suit you better.
Can I add the whole season’s fixtures at once?
Regular slots, yes: weekly training or a fortnightly home game can be a repeating series of up to 52 events. Fixtures with changing dates and opponents are still added one at a time; there’s no bulk import.
Does Crews track stats, lineups or results?
No. Crews handles availability, chat and photos. Use event chat or a pinned message for lineups.
We have several teams. One crew or several?
Either works. One crew keeps the club together and uses invite-only events per team. Separate crews give each team its own space, each with its own subscription.
