Crews for run clubs

The run club app for everything that happens off the watch

Your runners’ trackers handle pace and distance. Crews handles the organizing: which runs are on this week, who’s showing up, where to meet, what changed and the group photo at the end. It’s built for the person who keeps the club running.

The problem

What organizing a run club actually looks like

  • 01

Route and time debates in a noisy chat

The Saturday long-run discussion runs to sixty messages, and the final answer is somewhere in the middle of them.

  • 02

No idea how many are coming

Pacers can’t plan groups and the café can’t hold tables when the only headcount is "see you there" from a third of the club.

  • 03

The club has outgrown a group chat

At 80 members, the chat is a firehose. Important updates get buried and new runners mute it on day one.

  • 04

New runners don’t know what’s on

Someone joins after a race and has to scroll back weeks to find which runs are beginner friendly and where they start.

How it works

A week of runs, organized

Here is how a club with three weekly runs might use Crews.

  1. 1Sunday evening

    Post the week’s runs

The organizer adds Tuesday intervals, Thursday easy 5K and Saturday long run as events on the crew calendar, meeting point in the details. Everyone gets a push notification.

  2. 2Monday

    Poll the long-run route

A poll in the crew chat settles river loop versus hills. People RSVP going or maybe so pacers know roughly how many to expect.

  3. 3Friday

    Handle changes once

When the start moves to 7:30 because of heat, updating the event notifies everyone who’s coming. Lifts to the trailhead get sorted in the event chat.

  4. 4After the run

    Keep the group photo

The finish-line photo becomes a memory. It can also be the club’s entry in a challenge against another run crew.

Is Crews a good fit for your run club?

Crews suits organized run clubs, parkrun groups, track groups and trail crews that meet a few times a week, have outgrown a single group chat and have someone willing to pay for proper tooling, often out of membership fees or a sponsor’s budget. It isn’t a training platform: there are no plans, splits or distance leaderboards.

If you’re five friends who run on Sundays, a free group chat is honestly enough. Crews earns its $59 a month when the organizing gets real: dozens of runners, several runs a week, pacers who need numbers and new members who need to find their way in.

FAQ

good questions.

Something missing? Suggest it on the public roadmap.

How much does Crews cost for a run club?

$59 a month per crew, paid by the organizer or club. Runners join free. Up to 100 members are included; larger clubs add $18 a month per extra 100 members. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed.

Does Crews track runs or sync with Strava?

No. Crews doesn’t record activities or connect to Strava or any other app. Keep using your tracker for the running and Crews for plans, headcounts and chat.

Can I set up a weekly run once and have it repeat?

Yes. Make it repeat weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, ending after a number of runs or on a date. Each run is still its own event, with its own RSVPs, chat, reminders and route notes.

Can we collect club fees in Crews?

No. Payments and membership dues are on the roadmap, not available yet. Keep using whatever you use today for money.

Can we cap numbers for a track session?

Yes. Set a capacity on the event and the attendee list shows exactly who has a spot.
