The “when is it again?” problem

Group plans usually live in a chat message. By Thursday it has scrolled away, somebody asks “when is it again?”, three people answer with three different times, and one person shows up at the wrong park.

A shared group calendar gives every plan a permanent address. Events sit on the crew calendar with the time, the place and who is going, and they stay there. If you are in several groups, your personal calendar stacks them together so you can spot a clash before you commit to two things on the same night.

What is a shared group calendar?

It is a calendar that belongs to a group rather than one person. On Crews, every crew has one, and every member can see the events on it, RSVP and chat about them.

Can I see events from all my groups in one place?

Yes. Your personal calendar combines the events from every crew you are a member of, in month, week or day view.

Does it sync with Google Calendar or Apple Calendar?

There is no live two-way sync. You can export events as an ICS file and import that file into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or most other calendar apps.

Who can see a crew’s calendar?

Members of the crew. Invite-only events are an exception: only the people invited and the organizers can see those.

What are monthly calendar themes?

Crew admins can set a quote and a background image for each month. It is a small touch that makes the calendar feel like your group’s own.
