Big group, small plans

Once a group passes a dozen people, some plans stop being for everyone. A dinner for six. A birthday surprise that the birthday person must not see. A training session for the people on this weekend’s team. The usual workaround is a side chat, and then the side chats multiply.

Invite-only events keep those plans inside the crew without broadcasting them. The event does not show up on the calendar for anyone who is not invited, and invitees get the same RSVPs, event chat and photos as any other event.

How it works

    Create an event and make it private

    When you add the event to the crew calendar, switch it to invite-only.

    Pick who is invited

    Choose the crew members who should see it. Everyone else in the crew will not see it on the calendar at all.

    Plan it quietly

    Invitees RSVP and use the event chat as normal. The conversation stays between the people on the list.

  • Truly hidden

    Invite-only events are visible only to invitees and organizers. Other crew members do not see a greyed-out “private” placeholder, they see nothing.

    RSVPs, capacity limits, the attendee list, event chat and the photo gallery all work the same way.

    The planning lives with the event itself, not in yet another group chat that nobody archives.

Who can see an invite-only event?

Only the people invited to it and the event’s organizers. Other members of the crew do not see it on the crew calendar or on their personal calendar.

Can I invite people who are not in the crew?

Invite-only events are for crew members. Bring someone into the crew first with an invite link, then add them to the event.

Do private events have their own chat?

Yes. Every event, private or not, has its own event chat, and for a private event only the people who can see the event can see the chat.

Can a private event have a capacity limit?

Yes. Capacity limits, RSVPs and the attendee list work exactly as they do for regular events.
