Crews for community organizers

Host the meetup, and keep the community between them

Tech meetups, founder breakfasts, creative circles, neighborhood groups: you host the events and hold the community together. Crews gives you a calendar with real RSVPs, a space your members come back to between events, and the attendee lists you need for venues and sponsors.

The problem

What meetup hosts run into

  • 01

    Events without a community

Event pages bring people in the door, but once the night is over there’s nowhere for them to keep talking.

  • 02

    Venues and sponsors want numbers

The venue needs a headcount, the sponsor asks how many came. You piece it together from RSVPs across three platforms.

  • 03

    Growing without losing the vibe

You want new people, but not spammers or recruiters dropping in. Open links attract both.

  • 04

    Hosting alone burns you out

Everything runs through one organizer. Co-hosts have no shared space or permissions.

How it works

A month of meetups in Crews

How an organizer running a monthly meetup and smaller side events might use Crews.

  1. 1Four weeks out

    Post the main event

The monthly meetup goes on the crew calendar with the venue’s capacity. Members get a push notification and RSVP.

  2. 2Ongoing

    Let the right people in

The crew is private. Newcomers send a join request, co-hosts approve them, and speakers get personal invite links with a moderator role.

  3. 3The night before

    Send the list

The organizer exports the attendee list as a CSV for the venue’s front desk and pins the door details in the event chat.

  4. 4Between events

    Keep it going

The crew chat carries job posts, questions and polls on the next topic. Event photos go on the memory wall.

Is Crews right for your community?

Crews suits organizers who run recurring in-person events for a community that already exists or is growing by word of mouth: meetups, circles, local groups. It gives you a home base that outlasts any single event page.

It isn’t a discovery platform. Meetup and Luma are better at putting your event in front of strangers, and Crews doesn’t sell tickets (ticketed events are on the roadmap, not available yet). Many organizers use a discovery tool to be found and Crews to keep the people they find. If your events are free and informal, weigh that against $59 a month.

How much does Crews cost for a community organizer?

$59 a month per crew, paid by the organizer. Members join free. Up to 100 members are included, and extra members cost $18 a month per 100. 14-day free trial, no card needed.

Will Crews help new people discover my meetup?

Not in the way Meetup or Luma do. Crews isn’t a discovery marketplace. People join through your link or by finding your public crew. Use discovery tools to be found and Crews to keep your community.

Can I sell tickets?

No. Ticketed events and payments are on the roadmap, not available yet.

Can I get attendee lists for sponsors?

Yes. Export any event’s participant list as a CSV file.

Can I stop spammers joining?

Yes. Make the crew private and approve join requests yourself, or only let people in with personal invite links.
