Inside the app

from the plan to the photo.

What a week looks like for a crew on Crews: the run gets posted, people sort out the details, the organizer checks them in, and the best photo goes on the wall.

Plan

Post it once, see who’s coming

Set the Saturday long run up as a weekly series and every date gets its own RSVPs, chat and check-in. Members answer going, maybe or can’t go right on the event.

  • Capacity limits with an optional waitlist
  • The next person in line moves up, and is notified, when a spot opens
  • Invite-only events for the committee
How RSVPs work
Event page on desktop: Saturday long run with 14 going and 4 maybe, pace group details, and the event chat open alongside
Event page on a phone: Half marathon relay is full at 12 of 12 going, and you're #2 on the waitlist with an option to leave it

Talk

Logistics stay with the run

One chat for the whole crew and a separate chat on every event, so the bag drop and meeting point don’t get buried under last week’s photos.

  • Threads, reactions and @mentions
  • Polls for quick decisions
  • Photos shared in chat, ready for the memory wall
How crew chat works
Event chat for Saturday long run on a phone: members agree a meeting point, bag drop at the café and photos at 7:55
Poll in the crew chat on a phone: "Post-run spot this week?" with 18 votes, The Boathouse leading on 50% ahead of Grind Coffee and Riverside Bakery

Show up

Know who actually came

Organizers check people in from the event page on their phone, walk-ins included. Crews compares who came with who said they would.

  • Show rate and average attendance
  • Every member’s attended count, last visit and streak
  • Export to CSV
How attendance tracking works
Attendance report on desktop: 20 events in 90 days, 9.4 average attendance and a 76% show rate, with each member's attended count, rate, last attended date and streak
Check-in tab of Tuesday track session on a phone: 10 checked in of 16 going, a search box to add a walk-in, and Aisha Bello checked in at 6:32 PM

Remember and compete

Keep the good mornings

Pin the best photos from events and chat to your crew’s memory wall. Enter them in challenges against crews your size to earn league points.

  • A wall your members can scroll back through
  • Leagues grouped by member count
  • Challenge winners take 100 league points
How the memory wall works
Memory wall on desktop: pinned photos from Riverside Run Club meetups, including "Sunrise crew", "Coffee after the hills" and "First 10k finishers"
League tab on a phone: Riverside Run Club is rank #2 in the Gold tier with 1,840 points, +145 this week, behind Northside Striders

Leagues & challenges

a little friendly rivalry.

Crews are grouped into leagues by size, so a 40-member studio community isn't up against a 600-member store run club. Win challenges to earn points and climb your league's table.

  1. Step 1

    Start a challenge

Open it to every crew in your league, or invite one crew to a 1v1.

  2. Step 2

    Post your best shots

Each crew submits memory posts from its events and chats.

  3. Step 3

    Members vote

Members vote for the entries they like best.

  4. Step 4

    Winner takes 100

The winning crew earns 100 league points.

The five leagues

Resets every Monday
  • 1Legendthe biggest crews
  • 2Emerald
  • 3Diamond
  • 4Gold
  • 5Silversmall and mighty

Your crew's league depends on how many members it has. Within a league, crews are ranked by points, and weekly points start fresh every Monday — so there's always a new race. Silver is under 20 members, gold 20+, diamond 40+, emerald 60+ and legend 80+.

good questions.

Anything else? Ask on the roadmap board, we read every post.

Who is Crews for?

People who run a group with a budget: running stores and brand run clubs, fitness studios and gyms, climbing gyms, coaches and instructors, sports clubs and leagues, membership clubs, company social programs, language schools and community organizers. If you organize regular events for a community, Crews is built for you.

How much does Crews cost?

Your first crew starts with a 14-day free trial, no card needed (one trial per person). After that it is $59 per month per crew, paid by the organizer, with up to 100 members included. Bigger communities add member packs at $18 per month for each extra 100 members. Members always join free.

What happens when the trial ends?

An admin subscribes to keep the crew running. If nobody does, the crew becomes read-only until someone subscribes. Nothing is deleted. You can cancel anytime; billing is monthly through Stripe.

Is there a cheaper plan with fewer features?

No. There are no feature tiers: every crew gets every feature. You only pay more if your crew grows past 100 members.

Do my members need to download an app?

No. Crews runs in the browser on phone and desktop and signs people in with Google. Members can install it to their home screen so it opens like an app, and turn on push notifications for new events, messages and mentions.

Can I control who joins?

Yes. Crews can be public or private. Private crews are joined by personal invite link (tied to an email, single-use, with a role and an expiry) or by approved join request, and individual events can be invite-only.

Can I set up recurring sessions, send reminders or take attendance?

Yes. Events can repeat weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, people who are going get push and in-app reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before, and organizers check people in to build an attendance history with show rates and streaks.

Can I collect payments or sell tickets?

Not yet. Payments and membership dues, ticketed events and email notifications are on the public roadmap but not available today. Keep using your current tools for those, and use Crews for events, RSVPs, chat and community.

How do leagues work?

Every crew is placed in a league (silver, gold, diamond, emerald or legend) based on its size. Crews earn points by winning challenges against other crews, and weekly points reset every Monday.
